Kubernetes v1.33.0-1 Release Notes

Overview

Thalassa Cloud Kubernetes v1.33.0-1 is now available, featuring Kubernetes v1.33.0 with containerd 2.0 and updated Cilium to v1.17. This release introduces pre-baked machine images with all required components pre-installed, significantly improving node provisioning time and reliability.

This release marks the first version available for Thalassa Cloud’s Managed Kubernetes v1.33.

What’s new in 1.33?

Kubernetes 1.33 (Octarine) brings several key improvements:

• Sidecar containers are now stable
• You can now resize pod resources without recreating the pod (beta)
• Mount container images directly as volumes
• Better network performance for multi zone clusters with improved topology aware routing
